Farm-to-table fans, mark your calendars for the second annual Meet at the Table dinner on Oct. 19 at the Chatham Flower Farm in Painter. Once again Kat Meyer, artist, and Stewart Lundy of Perennial Roots Farm will host the feast featuring some of the Eastern Shore’s best purveyors under a big tent.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will be split between the Eastern Shore of Virginia Artisans Guild, supporting local artists and artisans, and the Delmarva Farmers Union, a new grass-roots organization working toward regional collaboration with family farmers. Last year, Meyer and Lundy brought together 150 people for a delicious communal gourmet meal utilizing chefs, farmers, brewers, winemakers and distillers from the entire Delmarva Peninsula.
This year 200 tickets are currently up for sale prior to the event and also include, live music, an auction and raffle.
