Hardywood Park Craft Brewery announced that the company is brewing a partnership with chef Joe Sparatta that involves opening a restaurant at the brewery’s West Creek location. “Since opening last year, Hardywood West Creek has become a regional hub as well as a significant destination brewery for tourism, drawing more than 125,000 visitors in our first year,” says Hardywood President and Co-founder Eric McKay. “There’s not yet a public restaurant in the 3,500-acre West Creek community, and we feel incredibly honored to bring one to life in partnership with Joe.”
Under the direction of Chef Sparatta, of acclaimed Richmond eateries Heritage and Southbound, this new restaurant will center around a gourmet, fast-casual concept with seasonal menus, featuring local ingredients that showcase the bounty of Virginia produce, a practice that is near and dear to both Hardywood and Sparatta. “I’m looking forward to developing a dining concept together with Hardywood,” says Sparatta. “We will focus on bringing seasonal and locally sourced dining options to the guests of Hardywood West Creek, while maintaining a consistent level of quality that we have established with Heritage and Southbound. Eric and Patrick have built an amazing brand in Hardywood, and I’m looking forward to adding a restaurant concept that will complement their brand.”
The restaurant is due to open in early 2020, with additional details to be shared closer to the date.
