2016 JB Winemaker Series Petit Manseng received special acclaim as it was given a 90-point rating in the April 2017 issue of Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. It is the highest rating from the renowned wine publication for any Virginia wine from the 2016 vintage.
JB Winemaker Series is the premium label from winemaker Justin Bogaty and is only available to wine club members at Veramar Vineyard, James Charles Winery & Vineyard and Bogati Winery. The Petit Manseng wine is the first vintage of that varietal to be produced by Justin Bogaty, and the second time one of his wines has been esteemed with a 90-point rating from Wine Advocate.
Bogaty commented, “I couldn’t be happier with this rating, and I am especially thrilled that we broke the 90-point threshold on the first vintage of Petit Manseng we produced. I think the quality of Petit Manseng and other varietals coming out of Virginia continues to solidify Virginia’s place among the world’s foremost winemaking regions, and I have high hopes for other wines from the 2016 vintage we will release soon. Stay tuned!”
