O’Connor Brewing Co. won a total of four medals in the 2017 Alltech Commonwealth Craft Beer Cup held in Lexington, Ky. on May 20, an annual craft beer competition that features various beers from all over the globe judged by industry veterans.
For the second year in a row, O’Connor Brewing Company’s Ibrik Imperial Turkish Coffee Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels took home the gold medal, while silver medals were awarded to both R&R Lager and Ibrik Imperial Turkish Coffee Stout Aged in Maple Syrup Barrels. La Preciosa Hibiscus Saison took the bronze.
Owner and President of O’Connor Brewing Co. Kevin O’Connor was immensely proud of the results the new beers had in the competition.
“With R&R Lager and La Preciosa Saison being newly-released beers, it’s extremely exciting to have this kind of acknowledgment from Alltech’s panel of judges,” said Kevin O’Connor, owner and president of O’Connor Brewing Co.
