Somerset’s The Market at Grelen is kicking off spring with the return of its annual Root Cellar Bottle Club. The exclusive club allows members to take home specially curated selections of Virginia wine, beer and cider from the market’s five Pickup Parties.
The Market at Grelen is a 600-acre tree farm in Central Virginia equipped with a gift shop, farm-to-table café, garden, walking trails, off-site lodging and most notably, a selection of over 20 regional wines. Dozens of Virginia craft beers and ciders are also available onsite.
By joining the Root Cellar Bottle Club, members are given the opportunity to sample each state-made cocktail through five unique tasting packages. While the assortment of packages differs depending on a member’s affiliation with The Boxwood, The Redbud or The Dogwood clubs, each package includes at least one bottle of wine, beer and cider, market coupons, logo’d gear, discounted Saturday tastings and exclusive discounts on bottles, cases and even select trees from the farm. Additional information about the prices and levels of packages can be found on the market’s website.
Members are asked to retrieve and pay for their Bottle Club basket at each of the market’s Pickup Parties held on the following Fridays: April 13, June 29, Aug. 24, Oct. 26 and next year on Jan. 25.
The Market at Grelen is located at 15091 Yager Rd., Somerset and is open seasonally from March through December.
