Historic Yorktown will become a stage for maritime history June 12–14, 2026, as tall ships glide into port for the Sail Yorktown Festival. The event brings the past to life with a lineup of magnificent vessels, including the three-masted Picton Castle, Jamestown Settlement’s Godspeed, colonial sloop Luna, and Yorktown’s homeported schooner Alliance II. Visitors can climb aboard for free deck tours and enjoy living history demonstrations, reenactments, military drills, storytelling, and hands-on activities throughout the weekend.
The excitement reaches new heights on Saturday evening with a breathtaking performance by the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra at the Yorktown Victory Monument. This patriotic program blends Peter Boyer’s powerful American Mosaic with imagery from award-winning photographer Joe Sohm, creating an unforgettable night under the stars.
