After two years of brewing, planning and building, the spacious State Street Brewing welcomed droves of Bristol patrons to its grand opening on Saturday, March 30. The straddle-the-border taproom celebrated with food trucks, games, raffles and pint after pint of beer.
On draft were over 10 introductory creations and small batch releases including an After Midnight porter, peanut butter Long Tom porter, Razzle shandy, Face For Radio NEIPA, Dad Hat Kölsch and the lime and cilantro pale ale 307. Whipping up curbside fare were local food trucks Trucky Cheese, The Sessions BBQ and Tennessee-based Let’s Taco ‘Bout It.
In addition to culinary indulgences, State Street visitors enjoyed a photobooth and free face painting by Soul Case Face and Body Art.
The brewery is now open Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday from 2 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Beginning in April, State Street will also donate a portion of Wednesday nights’ proceeds to local charities.
State Street Brewing is located at 801 State St., Bristol.
