In honor of Virginia Craft Beer Month, the Junior Woman’s Club of Williamsburg will hold their third annual Whistle Belly Beer and Food Festival on Sunday, August 6 at DoG Street Pub in Colonial Williamsburg’s Merchants Square.
Whistle Belly will host over 30 breweries and a variety of local vendors, including sweet and savory dishes catered by some of Williamsburg’s hottest restaurants, such as The Trellis Bar and Grill, Blue Talon Bistro, The Catering Company and event sponsor, DoG Street Pub. State fair-inspired treats such as funnel cakes, fried brisket, nachos, a taco stand and beer snow cones will also be available. This year’s event will offer several fun-filled classic tailgating activities including giant Jenga and cornhole and raffled prizes from guest breweries and other local businesses.

All proceeds from this year’s Whistle Belly event will benefit local non-profits and provide scholarships to high school students via the Junior Woman’s Club of Williamsburg. “It is an honor for a brewery to set aside something special for our festival for a great cause,” remarks DoG Street Pub General Manager and Whistle Belly organizer Lauren Moore.
The 2017 Whistle Belly Beer and Food Festival will offer special, VIP early admission tickets to sample 12 rare beers in addition to the 60 beers available to sample at the main event. For more information regarding VIP admission, general admission and more, please visit the Whistle Belly website.
