Starr Hill Brewery’s IPA JamBEERee returns for its third year brewing bigger, rare releases. For the first time in JamBEERee history, the IPA festivities will take place at both the Crozet brewery on June 9 and at the Roanoke Pilot Brewery & Side Stage on June 16.
The annual IPA JamBEERee is the only place to sample exclusive, hop-forward collaborations brewed by Ardent Craft Ales, Basic City, Fans of Virginia Craft Breweries, MoMac Brewing Company, Reason Beer and Twin Creeks Brewing Company. Dozens of other Starr Hill IPAs will be available for tasting including the limited release Whiter Shade, Hopfetti and the rare Ménage à VA brewed in conjunction with Fair Winds Brewing Company and O’Connor Brewing Company.
Gracing the JamBEERee taps are six hoppy mash-ups—an old school west coast IPA, rye IPA, oyster IPA, spruce tips IPA brewed with local spruce tips, an IPL and a big, juicy double IPA. All collaborations are currently brewing at the Pilot Brewery in Roanoke.
Festival attendees will not only get the chance to taste hop-infused brews, but touch and smell hops, too, courtesy of the hop growers at Greenmont Hopworks. Other forms of entertainment include a dunk tank, hopscotch, live music and other interactive games.
Guests can enjoy eats from local food and snack vendors as well.
Tickets for JamBEERee start at $12 and include three tokens good for two full pints and one tasting flight of the special collaboration beers. Additional tokens may be purchased at each event for $5.
Starr Hill’s Cheers for Charity campaign is piggybacking the JamBEERee and will donate $1 to the Ivy Creek Foundation and SARA Roanoke for every pint poured.
