Eight more breweries have joined Richmond’s Beer Trail, now featuring a total of 32 breweries, with five opening since the trail’s introduction in 2016 and three more on their way in the upcoming months. Developed by Richmond Region Tourism and Richmond Breweries United, the Richmond Beer Trail invites craft beer lovers to track and taste different beers at breweries while collecting stamps at each brewery they visit to redeem for merchandise, including bottle openers and new branded beanie hats.
The Richmond Beer Trail’s regional map has also expanded to include cideries, distilleries and a meadery. While stamps can’t be claimed at these locations, their inclusion allows for beer enthusiasts to broaden their scope for Virginia craft beverages.
“We are excited to introduce visitors to the new breweries. The section of the map indentifying non-beer tasting rooms serves to guide visitors through a comprehensive Richmond Region beverage experience,” remarked Richmond Region Tourism Vice President of Marketing Jennifer Hendren. “While earning stamps at breweries, visitors are also encouraged to explore our other craft libation stops.”
New Richmond Beer Trail breweries include:
- Canon & Draw Brewing Company (Coming soon)
- Champion Brewing Company
- Fine Creek Brewing Company
- Hardywood West Creek (Opening Spring 2018)
- Intermission Beer Company
- Lickinghole Goodwater (Coming soon)
- Origin Beer Lab
- Twisted Ales
More than 25,000 Richmond Beer Trail maps have been distributed since the trail’s establishment last year. Craft beer drinkers can share their experience at each brewery on social media with the hashtags #RVABeerTrail and #VisitRichmond.
