Summer is in full swing at Chisholm Vineyards at Adventure Farm. From May through October, the vineyards are the ideal Earlysville venue for family-friendly events, live music, delicious fare and sipping 100 percent estate grown wines beneath a Blue Ridge sunset.
The farm winery offers an intimate tasting room and farm shop and sprawling outdoor space decorated with fire pits, bench seating, twinkling lights and a covered patio. Every Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., the stunning open-air venue hosts Chisholm’s Sunset Soirees. Local bands serenade winery guests as they enjoy tacos, waffles and other curbside eats from local food trucks.
The winery also gears up for team happy hours every Thursday in May, featuring more food trucks and live music by fan-favorite Jim Waive.
Musical talents continue with Chisholm’s songwriter open mic nights and Music on the Meadow Series. Singers and musicians can showcase their talents on the winery stage from 7 to 9 p.m. on May 20, June 24, July 15, Aug. 19 and Sept. 16. The Music on the Meadow series hosts two large-scale concerts by AbbeyRoad on June 21 and Kingdom of Mustang on Aug. 25. Open mic nights require a $5 cover. Ticket prices for the meadow concerts are to be determined.
