On Sunday, April 29, the Williamsburg Craft Beer Festival will return for its fifth consecutive year, co-hosted by the Rotary Club of Williamsburg and the Young Emerging Professionals of Williamsburg.
This year’s festival will showcase over 20 beers from more than 10 breweries. Last year’s pourers included the Williamsburg-based Alewerks Brewing Company, South Street Brewery, Potter’s Craft Cider, Anderson Valley Brewing Company and Smartmouth Brewing Company, among others. Local food vendors Sinful Treats, FoodaTude and Two Drummers BBQ will also dish out sweet and smoky treats for event guests.
The festival will be held in City Square in Downtown Williamsburg from 1 to 5 p.m., with a VIP hour preceding the public event from noon to 1 p.m. Tickets will be available for purchase on Feb. 21 with general admission tickets starting at $35 and VIP tickets for $50. While guests under 21 are permitted to attend the festival, different colored wristbands will be provided for underage attendees, drinkers and designated drivers.
Proceeds from the event will benefit local nonprofits such as the Avalon Center, Child Development Resources, Literacy for Life, Here for the Girls (formerly Beyond Boobs!) as well as the two host organizations. Over the past four years, the Williamsburg Craft Beer Festival has accumulated over $75,000 in support of local charities.
